How the FLAMES Game Works

FLAMES is an acronym that stands for Friends, Love, Affection, Marriage, Enemies, Siblings. The game is played as follows:

  1. Write Down Two Names: Take the two names you want to check the relationship for.
  2. Strike Common Letters: Cancel out all the letters that are common to both names.
  3. Count Remaining Letters: Count the total number of letters that were not canceled in both names. Let's call this number 'N'.
  4. Calculate the FLAMES result:
    • Write down the word "FLAMES".
    • Starting from 'F', count up to 'N' in the letters of FLAMES. The letter where the count ends is struck off.
    • Start the next count from the letter immediately after the one that was struck off, and continue until only one letter remains.
  5. The last remaining letter reveals the relationship!
